dropping everything but PATH from /etc/environment is generally a good idea (for surfaceflinger (i.e. the above var) it is clear we do not want it at all ... other vars in that file will need more testing though) many of these vars are leftovers from the pre-container system and solely were to make android work initially, nobody cleaned up that file after introduction of the android lxc container setup.
