I think it's fine to remove it from the section about installed packages. Maybe it'd make sense to mention in a half-sentence (maybe where we refer to apt-cache for the first time) that it's part of the default installation?

Daniel,

I don't know exactly what needs to be added here as i'm not the greatest
packager, just trying to help w/ typos where I can. If there needs to be
more changed I can change it just put in whatever needs to be done
