I think it's worth looking at why these tests have suddenly started failing . Is it an environment issue or some randomness some place else ?

I enabled the libstdc++ test suite relatively recently. I'm fairly sure this is a binutils issue similar to the cdce3.c one that I last looked into.

Note the fault is gone on Precise but there's a triple change of kernel, libc, and binutils.

Zhenqiang, could you upstream this patch please?
