NetworkManager recommends ppp, and can establish ppp connections.

These days, direct ppp from desktop is very uncommon as most ISPs
provide routers pre-configured with ppp.

Configuring ppp via network-manager is sufficient.

Drop explicit seeding of ppp, pppconfig, pppoeconf.
