It lacks syncdb call, I need to re-read that whole file to see if it's not doing things the wrong way.
Basically it should be _really_ simple:
1) Deploy initial production bundle from http://
2) Ensure that it works
3) Jump into virtualenv, pip uninstall whatever you want to develop
4) Go to instance src/ directory, bzr branch, git clone, anything you want to hack on, run setup.py develop on each project branched.
5) Re-run syncdb/migrate
