Export (without a public header) the HTTP transport built-in "load" function, so that it can - until the download API is fleshed out - be imported directly by a minimal test harness. Add a "test-http" harness which tries to call the work-in-progress HTTP transport functions, as will eventually be wrapped by the download API. Fix some small string copy issues in the HTTP fetch function so that it gets further into the (unfinished) code before bailing.
