Description of the change

Xubuntu-docs have been outdated for quite some time. Many, if not all, of the corrections/changes made for the Natty version of xubuntu-docs are relevant to the Lucid version. These changes update some instructions and references of default programs installed in Xubuntu.

Thanks very much for putting this together. This represents a lot of work!
I think that you would have the rights to actually do this merge. Have you
tried to merge in your changes into the Lucid branch?

Also, if you want these updates to actually be present in Xubuntu 9.10 via a
download update we would need to do a Stable Release Update (aka an SRU).
The best person to ask about that would probably be Matthew East (
<email address hidden>). Sending a note out to the doc mailing list would be fine,
too.

Also, this is a rather large merge request. It's easier to review the
changes if you do them in smaller chunks . . . this is just something to
keep in mind for the future. Thanks again for your work here, though! It's
fantastic that you've done all of this.

Jim
